Business value

Microsoft Copilot for Finance has implemented a refined approach by integrating partial matching methodologies into its data structure comparisons to elevate the precision and sophistication of its analytical capabilities.

It enhances precision and streamlines transaction categorization, resulting in a reduction of unmatched transactions, thereby highlighting potential matches with greater efficacy.

Feature details

Microsoft Copilot for Finance will employ a partial matching technique alongside exact matching to allow it to identify not only exact matches but also similar values within your data. Specifically, Copilot for Finance uses exact substring matching that enables it to recognize occurrences of one string (substring) within another string (superset) precisely as they appear.

This feature is particularly beneficial for mapping keys used in the reconciliation process. Copilot for Finance is able to accurately identify and categorize partially matching transactions, presenting them within the existing "Potentially matched transactions" group in your reconciliation report.

Geographic areas

This feature will be released into the following Microsoft Azure geographic area:

  • United States
