Constraints are used to set up an exception condition, that is, a combination of conditions which must not exist. For example, you can use a constraint to set up the condition in which the user, while configuring a lamp, cannot select a red shade if he or she has selected plastic for the material. Conditions can be a Simple, Advanced, or Code type. You can set up a constraint that combines different types of conditions.
