Create a service journal

The service journal is used to create and post service transactions. Before you can enter and post the service transactions, you must create the cost journal. You create the cost journal by using one of the journal names that you created in the Journal names form. (Click Cost accounting > Setup > Journal names.)
Click Cost accounting > Journals > Service transactions.
Press CTRL+N to create a new line, and then select the appropriate journal name in the Name field.
Click Lines.
Press CTRL+N to create a new line.
Enter all information about the transaction.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each transaction that you want to add to the journal.
Click Validate and then Validate to validate the transactions.
Click Post and then Post to post the transactions.
Note
You can use this journal to post only service transactions. To create cost transactions, use the Cost transactions form.
