This message is sent when an IME is about to create the status window. An application processes this message to display the status window for the IME by itself.

Syntax

WM_IME_NOTIFY
  wSubMessage = IMN_OPENSTATUSWINDOW;
    lParam = 0;

Parameters

  • lParam
    Not used.

Return Value

None.

Remarks

The IME window creates a status window when it processes this message and sets the strings to display in the window into the input context. Applications can get data about the status window by using the ImmGetConversionStatus function.
