The following table shows the Unicode functions with a description of the purpose of each.

Function Description

IsDBCSLeadByte

Checks whether a character is a lead byte.

IsDBCSLeadByteEx

Checks whether a character is a lead byte, or the first byte of a character in a double-byte character set (DBCS).

MultiByteToWideChar

maps a character string to a wide-character (Unicode) string.

TranslateCharsetInfo

Translates based on the specified character set, code page, or font signature value, setting all members of the destination structure to appropriate values.

WideCharToMultiByte

Maps a wide-character string to a new character string.
