This method retrieves information related to the specified URL.

Syntax

HRESULT QueryInfo( 
  LPCWSTR pwzUrl,
  QUERYOPTION OueryOption,
  DWORD dwQueryFlags,
  LPVOID pBuffer,
  DWORD cbBuffer,
  DWORD* pcbBuf,
  DWORD dwReserved
);

Parameters

  • pwzUrl
    [in] String value that contains the URL.
  • OueryOption
    [in] QUERYOPTION value that indicates what option to query.
  • dwQueryFlags
    [in] Reserved. Must be set to zero.
  • pBuffer
    [in, out] Address of the buffer to store the information.
  • cbBuffer
    [in] Unsigned long integer value that contains the size of the buffer.
  • pcbBuf
    [in, out] Address of an unsigned long integer variable to store the size of the requested information.
  • dwReserved
    [in] Reserved. Must be set to zero.

Return Value

Returns one of the values shown in the following table.

Value Description

S_OK

The information requested was retrieved successfully.

S_FALSE

The buffer was too small to store the information.

INET_E_QUERYOPTION_UNKNOWN

The option requested is unknown.
