Retrieving MSMQQueueInfo.IsTransactional

A version of this page is also available for

Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3

4/8/2010

The transaction level of a queue indicates whether the queue accepts transactional or non-transactional messages. It is set when the queue is created.

You must call MSMQQueueInfo.Refresh before attempting to retrieve this property.

Note

If your application does not have MQSEC_GET_QUEUE_PROPERTIES access rights for the queue, an MQ_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED error is returned to MSMQQueueInfo.Refresh.

To retrieve MSMQQueueInfo.IsTransactional

  1. Declare the MSMQQueueInfo variable for the queue.

  2. Obtain an MSMQQueueInfo object.

  3. Call MSMQQueueInfo.Refresh to update the local properties of the queue object.

MSMQQueueInfo.IsTransactional is a read-only property set when the queue is created.

  4. Use MSMQQueueInfo.IsTransactional as needed.
