This method obtains extended information about the version of the operating system that is currently running on a remote Windows Embedded CE–based device.

Syntax

BOOL CeGetVersionEx(
  LPCEOSVERSIONINFO lpVersionInformation 
);

Parameters

  • lpVersionInformation
    [out] Long pointer to a CEOSVERSIONINFO data structure that the function fills with operating system version information.

    Before calling the IRAPISession::CeGetVersionEx function, set the dwOSVersionInfoSize member of the CEOSVERSIONINFO data structure to 'sizeof(CEOSVERSIONINFO)'.

Return Value

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To get extended error information, call IRAPISession::CeGetLastError and IRAPISession::CeRapiGetError.

Remarks

IRAPISession::CeGetVersionEx fails if you specify an invalid value for the dwOSVersionInfoSize member of the CEOSVERSIONINFO structure.
