The Dial-up Networking functionality in Windows Embedded CE-based devices is implemented using Remote Access Service (RAS) and the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP). Dial-up Networking allows a device to access network resources from a remote location. First, a connection is established with the remote computer, and then the device, or client, can upload and download files.
