The IMultiLanguage3 interface inherits from the IMultiLanguage2 interface and extends its functionality by adding outbound text detection. This interface is not supported on all Windows Mobile operating systems. Refer to the SDK documentation specific to your target device to see whether this functionality is supported.

The following table shows the methods of this interface. Like all COM interfaces, this interface inherits the methods of the IUnknown interface.

Method Description

DetectOutboundCodePage

Detects the encoding of outbound Unicode text.

DetectOutboundCodePageInIStream

Detects the encoding of outbound Unicode text. This method resembles the IMultiLanguage3::DetectOutboundCodePage method, except that the source text is in an IStream object.

Remarks

This interface is used by applications such as Microsoft® Outlook® to detect the encoding of outbound messages. Unicode text messages are parsed and the most appropriate encoding is returned.
