RIL_ChangeLockingPassword

This function changes the locking password for the specified facility.

Syntax

HRESULT
 RIL_ChangeLockingPassword(
  HRIL hRil,
  DWORD dwFacility,
  LPCSTR lpszOldPassword,
  LPCSTR lpszNewPassword
);

Parameters

• hRil
  Handle to the RIL instance returned by RIL_Initialize.

• dwFacility
  Specifies the facility to change locking password. For values, see Lock Facility Constants.

• lpszOldPassword
  Current locking password. Can be either RIL_PASSWORDTYPE_PIN for editable passowrds or RIL_PASSWORDTYPE_PUK for non-user editable passwords.

• lpszNewPassword
  New locking password.

Return Value

Positive HRESULT values indicate success and are used as command identifications for matching the asynchronous call result. Negative HRESULT values indicate an error. Errors are defined in the Ril.h file.

An asynchronous result of RIL_RESULT_OK indicates success. The lpData notification parameter is set to NULL.

Remarks

The RIL proxy translates the RIL_ChangeLockingPassword function into IOCTL_RIL_ChangeLockingPassword when the RIL proxy calls RIL_IOControl.
