This message retrieves the menu handle to the menu that owns the menu receiving the message.

Syntax

SHCMBM_GETMENU
  wParam = 0
  lParam = 0

Parameters

  • wParam
    Reserved for future use, set to zero.
  • lParam
    Reserved for future use, set to zero.

Return Value

Returns the HMENU to the menu that owns the menu receiving the message.

For Windows Mobile, when this message is used as the Msg input parameter for the SendMessage function, SendMessage returns the handle to the top-level menu associated with the soft key bar.

Note

Beginning with Windows Mobile 6.5.3, soft keys are replaced by touchable tiles on Windows Mobile Professional phones.
