setValue Method

This method sets the value of a specific attribute.

Syntax

HRESULT setValue(
  int nIndex, 
  BSTR strValue
);

Parameters

• nIndex
  [in] Attribute's index value.

• strValue
  [in] String that represents the attribute's default value specified by "#IMPLIED", "#REQUIRED", or "#FIXED", or NULL if none applies. This value string is represented by the attribute's default value, or NULL if there is none.

Return Value

• S_OK
  Returned if no errors are reported.

• E_FAIL
  There is only one specific fatal error for this IMXAttributes implementation: incorrect index (E_INVALIDARG). It may return a generic failure code, such as out-of-memory.
