This structure provides DNS wire record information.

Syntax

  WORD RecordType;
  WORD RecordClass;
  DWORD TimeToLive;
  WORD DataLength;
} DNS_WIRE_RECORD, *PDNS_WIRE_RECORD;

Members

  • RecordType
    [in] DNS record type.
  • RecordClass
    [in] DNS record class.
  • TimeToLive
    Time To Live value (TTL), in milliseconds. A value of zero (0) indicates that the time to live is 10 minutes.
  • DataLength
    Length of the DNS message data, in bytes.

Remarks

When constructing a DNS message, this structure is immediately followed by record data.
