Setup Issue: Shared Configuration Is Enabled

Setup has detected that the Shared Configuration feature of IIS 7.0 is enabled so that configuration and encryption keys can be shared from a central location.

To install AppFabric, disable Shared Configuration, and then after installation has been completed, re-enable Shared Configuration, as follows:

  1. In the Connections Pane of IIS Manager, click the server node.

  2. In the Management section of the Features View, click the Shared Configuration icon.

  3. Clear the Enable shared configuration checkbox.

  4. Resume AppFabric setup.

  5. After AppFabric setup has completed, open IIS Manager, click the server node in the Connections pane, click the Shared Configuration icon in the Management section of the Features View, and then enable Shared Configuration.
