Operations Manager 2007 Add Monitoring Wizard: Enter and Test OLE DB Data Source Settings Page

Use this page to enter and test the connectivity settings for your OLE DB Data Source object.

Note

You must complete this wizard for each database you want to connect.

This page contains the elements described in the following table.

Name	Description
Simple Configuration	Enables you to supply the connectivity elements.
Provider	The name of the OLE DB provider.
IP address or device name	The name or IP address of the computer that hosts the database.
Database	The database that is to be connected through the OLE DB provider.
Advanced Configuration	Enables you to supply a connection string instead of the elements you provide for a simple configuration.
Connection String	The connection string that contains the initialization properties needed to connect to the OLE DB provider.
Test	Tests your settings and displays an error if your settings fail.
