MaximumValueValidationException Constructor (String, Exception)

Initializes a new instance of the MaximumValueValidationException class with a specified error message and inner exception that caused the current exception.

Parameters

  • message
    Type: System..::.String
    The error message that explains the reason for the exception.
  • inner
    Type: System..::.Exception
    The exception that is the cause of the current exception, or a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if no inner exception is specified.

Remarks

If the inner parameter is not a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference, the current exception is raised in a catch block that handles the inner exception.

MaximumValueValidationException is thrown when an attempt is made to save an entity and at least one numeric property of that entity exceeds the maximum allowed value.
