IComponentType::get_MediaMajorType Method

The get_MediaMajorType method retrieves the DirectShow media major type as a BSTR.

Syntax

HRESULT get_MediaMajorType(
  [out]  BSTR *pMediaMajorType
);

Parameters

  • pMediaMajorType [out]
    Pointer to a BSTR that will receive the GUID.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful. If the method fails, error information can be retrieved using the standard COM IErrorInfo interface.

Requirements

Header Declared in Dshow.h.
DLL Requires Quartz.dll.
