Shipping Time Field, Sales Line Table

Specifies how long it takes from when the sales order line is shipped from the warehouse to when the order is delivered at the customer's address. The value is copied from the Shipping Time field in the Sales Header table.

Note

If a code is defined in the Planned Delivery Date field on the sales order line, then the shipping time that is defined for that code overrides the value that is copied from the Shipping Time field on the customer card.

The shipping time is used to calculate the planned delivery date if there is no requested delivery date for the customer. If there is a requested delivery date for the customer, then the shipping time is used to calculate the planned shipment date. For more information, see the Outbound Whse. Handling Time field.

Warning

If the location uses a base calendar, then the date formula that you enter in this field is interpreted according to the calendar working days. For example, a 1W means seven working days. For more information, see the “Using Date Formulas” section in How to: Enter Dates and Times.
