Create New FrontPage Web site Dialog Box

 

The Create New FrontPage Web site dialog box enables you to specify the location of the Web site that you want to create.

To open the Create New FrontPage Web site dialog box

  1. On the File menu in Visual Web Developer, click New Web Site.

    The New Web Site dialog box appears.

  2. Click Browse, and then click Remote Site.

  3. In the Remote Site pane, click the New Web Site button.

    The Create New FrontPage Web site dialog box opens.

To create a new site on the remote computer:

  • The remote computer must be running the .NET Framework version 2.0.

  • FrontPage Server Extensions from Microsoft must be enabled for the default Web site under Internet Information Services (IIS).

  • You must have permissions to create new folders and files on the remote computer under the IIS default root Web folder.

UI Elements

  • Web URL
    Specifies the URL of the server and Web site that you want to create. In the Web URL text box, type the complete URL of the server and Web site in the following format: **https://server/**WebSiteName. For example, to create a new Web site on a server named ExampleServer, the URL would be https://ExampleServer/NewWebSite.
