IComponentType::get_Category

The get_Category method retrieves the component category.

Syntax

  HRESULT get_Category(
  ComponentCategory*  pCategory
);

Parameters

pCategory

[out] Pointer to a ComponentCategory data type that will receive the category.

Return Values

Returns S_OK if successful. If the method fails, error information can be retrieved using the standard COM IErrorInfo interface.

Requirements

Header: Dshow.h.

Library: Quartz.dll.
