IDvbServiceDescriptor::GetServiceProviderNameW

This topic applies to Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and later.

The GetServiceProviderNameW method returns the service provider name converted into a readable string.

Syntax

  HRESULT GetServiceProviderNameW(
  BSTR*  pbstrName
);

Parameters

pbstrName

[out]  Pointer to a string containing the name.

Return Values

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK The method succeeded.

Remarks

This method converts the raw service provider name to Windows byte order, translates the string into the correct code page, and removes the control characters. The returned string includes characters with and without emphasis marks. For more information about character encoding in DVB Service Information (SI) descriptors, refer to ETSI 300 468, Appendix A.
