Audition Options

Audition a region in the selected layer, or regions in all layers, at a specific pitch by clicking a piano key in the graphical interface. The regions being played are highlighted. For more information, see Instrument Graphical Interface.

The Audition Options group box in the DLS Designer Window contains the following settings that affect the sound heard when a piano key is clicked:

  • Click Velocity

    Velocity of the note when it is played by clicking a piano key. This value can affect the selection of layers played. Enter a value in the range from 0 to 127.

  • Solo Layer

    If this option is selected, only the selected layer plays. If the layer is not valid for the Click Velocity value, it is silent.

  • Multiple Layer

    If this option is selected, all layers play, provided they are valid for the Click Velocity value.
