Many sample files are provided with Microsoft® DirectMusic® Producer. These files demonstrate the use of styles, bands, secondary segments, chordmaps, groove levels, signpost chords, waves, and much more.

To view the sample files, you must install them. You are given the choice of doing so during the DirectMusic Producer installation process.

The sample files are stored in a project called Demo8. When the project is open, the Bookmark list contains numerous bookmarks to help you navigate through the samples. Selecting a bookmark causes related components to be opened and arranged for easy viewing.
