To add an existing component to the project tree
In the project tree, click the project to add the component to.
On the File menu, choose Insert Files into Project. The following dialog box is displayed.
In the Files of type box, select the file type to add.
In the Look in box, locate the folder containing the file to use.
Double-click the file. The component you select appears in the project tree.
Note This procedure does not make a new copy of the file. Any modifications you make in the file will be reflected in other projects the file belongs to. For information on how to make a new copy, see To save a new version of a component.
