To create new components

  1. Open the project by clicking on the icon in the project tree.

  2. On the File menu, click New.

  3. In the File Types list, select the component type or types you want to create. To select multiple types, hold down the CTRL key. To select a range of types, hold down the SHIFT key or drag the mouse across the list.

  4. Click OK to automatically select a new default name for the components, such as Band1 or Chordmap1.

    Clear the Use Default Names option to enable the Name box, and enter a custom name. If you specify a custom name, it is applied to all components. Click OK.

  5. If prompted to create a new project, enter a name and location for the project, and click OK.

An icon for each new component is added to the project tree, and each component is opened in an editing window. For some components, a dialog box appears. You can set initial properties for the component in this dialog box.
