Remarks
An attribute table is used to identify areas of the mesh that need to be drawn with different textures, render states, and materials. In addition, an application can use the attribute table to hide portions of a mesh by not drawing a given attribute identifier (attributeID) when it draws the frame. Attribute tables also can be used to identify application-defined areas of a mesh that are handled by custom code.
