IWMDMEnumDevice::Clone
The Clone method returns a copy of the IWMDMEnumDevice interface. The new enumerator contains the same enumeration state as the current enumerator.
Syntax
HRESULT Clone(
IWMDMEnumDevice** ppEnumDevice
);
Parameters
ppEnumDevice
[out] Address of a pointer to an IWMDMEnumDevice interface.
Return Values
The method returns an HRESULT. All the interface methods in Windows Media Device Manager and service provider can return any of the following classes of error codes:
- Standard COM error codes
- Windows error codes converted to HRESULT values
- Windows Media Device Manager error codes
For a complete list of possible error codes, see Error Codes.
Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.
Return code | Description |
S_OK | The method succeeded. |
E_INVALIDARG | The ppEnumDevice parameter is an invalid or NULL pointer. |
E_OUTOFMEMORY | There is not enough memory to replicate the original interface. |
Remarks
Using this method, a client can record a particular point in the enumeration sequence and return to that point later. The new enumerator supports the same interface as the original one. For more information about the standard enumerator Clone method, see the Microsoft COM documentation, available at the Microsoft Web site.
