IWMDMEnumStorage::Skip
The Skip method skips over the specified number of storage devices or separate items of content in the enumeration sequence.
Syntax
HRESULT Skip(
ULONG celt,
ULONG* pceltFetched
);
Parameters
celt
[in] Number of devices or content items to skip.
pceltFetched
[out] Number of storage devices or content items skipped.
Return Values
The method returns an HRESULT. All the interface methods in Windows Media Device Manager and service provider can return any of the following classes of error codes:
- Standard COM error codes
- Windows error codes converted to HRESULT values
- Windows Media Device Manager error codes
For a complete list of possible error codes, see Error Codes.
Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.
Return code | Description |
S_OK | The method succeeded. |
S_FALSE | The number of elements specified was not skipped. |
E_INVALIDARG | A parameter is invalid or is a NULL pointer. |
E_FAIL | An unspecified error occurred. |
Remarks
If the number of devices specified in celt is greater than the actual number of storage interfaces remaining in the enumeration sequence, the return value from Skip is S_FALSE. When this happens, pceltFetched must be queried to determine how many interfaces were actually skipped. If you skip to the end of the array of storage interfaces, a subsequent call to Next returns S_FALSE.
