How to: Create an Entity Using the Administration Object Model

Entities are the business objects, such as customer and sales order, in a business application. This topic shows how to use the Administration object model to create an entity. The example also creates an identifier for the new entity.

This topic shows how to create an entity using the object model. Replace EnterYourSSPNameHere in the code with your Shared Services Provider (SSP) name. Also, create an LobSystem instance and set connection parameters as shown in How to: Create an LobSystem Using the Administration Object Model.

Example

This example creates an entity called ProductModel from the AdventureWorks2000 database.
