Exceptions

Exception Condition
[System.ArgumentException]

Invalid property value

[System.ArgumentNullException]

Indicates that the value being set is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), which is invalid.

[System.UnauthorizedAccessException]

Current user does not have sufficient permissions to perform this action.

Remarks

The Description value can be an empty string.

To save changes, you must call the Update after setting this property.

The user must have edit permissions on the PublishingPage to set this value. The user must have view permissions on the PublishingPage to initially retrieve it and get any of its property values.

If this property value is used in HTML that is rendered in a browser, you should HTML-encode the property value to avoid the possibility of scripting attacks.

Examples

This sample sets some properties on a PublishingPage object, saves the new values, and publishes the PublishingPage.

Before compiling and running this sample, verify that this SPLIstItem is a list item in the pages document library of a PublishingWeb.

This sample presumes that the document library that contains the SPListItem requires content approval.
