Instance Property

The Instance property of the Service class gets or sets the instance name, if any, of the Service object.

Property Value

The name of the instance of the Service object.

Remarks

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and subsequent versions support multiple database server instances on a single server computer through the use of named instances. Therefore there may be multiple DatabaseService instances on the same Server object that are distinguished by their Instance properties.
