DatabaseService Property

The DatabaseService property of the Database class gets or sets the DatabaseService object that hosts the database in the topology of the server farm.

Property Value

An instance of the Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.Topology.DatabaseService class that hosts the database.

Remarks

The DatabaseService property represents a SQL Server instance that hosts the Database object. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later supports multiple database server instances on a single server computer through the use of named instances.
