WriteUrlEncodeAsUrlWithQuote Method

The WriteUrlEncodeAsUrlWithQuote method of the SPEncode class encodes the specified string and writes it in quotation marks to the HTTP output content stream, converting special characters to quoted UTF-8 format, but assumes that the string is a path component of a URL.

Parameters

response   The System.HttpResponse object for the current HTTP request.

str   The string to encode as a URL.

quoteChar   A System.Char object that specifies the character to use for quotation marks.

Remarks

Unlike the WriteUrlEncode method, the UrlEncodeAsUrl method does not encode the forward slash ("/").
