The Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service handles search tasks for content that is not indexed, such as Help.
Membership in the Farm Administrators group and the Administrators group on the local server computer is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
Configure the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service
Use this procedure to configure the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service.
Configure the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service
On the top link bar, click Operations.
On the Operations page, in the Topology and Services section, click Services on server.
On the Services on Server page, in the list of services, click Windows SharePoint Services Help Search.
On the Configure Windows SharePoint Services Search Service Settings page, in the Service Account section, specify the account (domain or user) that you want to use for the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service.
In the Content Access Account section, specify the account that you want the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service to use when a user wants to access content.
Note
You must provide a user account to execute search tasks. This account only has read permission for the configuration and content database. You cannot add or edit any section in the database.
In the Search database section, type the name of the database server and database name that you want to use, or accept the default settings. Select the appropriate database authentication method.
In the Indexing Schedule section, specify how often you want the Windows SharePoint Services Help Search service to crawl the content. You can schedule crawls hourly, daily, or by number of minutes.
Click OK.
