Manage quota templates (Office SharePoint Server)

Quota templates are used to limit the amount of storage available on a site, and they are used to send e-mail alerts to the site administrator when a specified value of space is used.
Templates are applied to sites by using the Site Collection Quotas and Locks page. For more information, see Manage site quotas and locks (Office SharePoint Server).
On the top navigation bar, click Application Management.
On the Application Management page, in the SharePoint Site Management section, click Quota templates.
On the Quota Templates page, in the Template Name section, select one of the following:
Edit an existing template If you select this option, in the Template to modify list, click the template that you want to modify.
Create a new quota template If you select this option, configure the following:
In the Template to start from list, click either [new blank template] or a template on which to base the new template.
In the New template name box, type a name for the new template.
In the Storage Limit Values section, to limit the maximum amount of storage available on a site, select the Limit site storage to a maximum of check box and type a value for the limit in megabytes (MB) in the corresponding box.
To send an e-mail alert to the site administrator when he or she is approaching the maximum storage limit, select the Send warning E-mail when site storage reaches check box and type a value approaching the storage limit in MB in the corresponding box.
