Before you perform this procedure, confirm that:

Important
At the minimum, you must be a member of the Farm Administrators SharePoint group to complete this procedure.
Deploy security information
Use the following procedure to deploy security information when you deploy content. You can select whether or not to include security information associated with content when deploying that content by using the Security information in the content deployment menu.
To deploy security information
When deploying content, click one of the following in the Security Information section:
None This is the default selection. No security information associated with content is deployed with the content.
All All of the security information associated with the content is deployed with the content.
Role Definitions Only Only the role definitions (role definitions are collections of permissions) are deployed with the content. Users and groups, including those associated with the role definitions, are not deployed with the content.
