How to Export an ISV Proxy Certificate

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

In Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, you use Internet Explorer to export the certificate for the ISV Proxy to a .cer file, which is used to register the ISV Proxy with Configuration Manager 2007. For information about registering the ISV proxy with Configuration Manager, see How to Register an ISV Proxy.

To Export the ISV Certificate

  1. Click Start, click Run, type mmc, and then click OK.

  2. In the File menu, select Add/Remove Snap-in.

  3. In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click Add.

  4. In the Available Standalone Snap-ins list, select Certificates, and then click Add.

  5. Click Computer Account, and then click Next.

  6. Select the Local computer (the computer this console is running on) option, and then click Finish.

  7. Click Close, and then click OK.

  8. In the console tree, expand Certificates, Personal and then Certificates.

  9. Right-click the certificate you want to export, click All Tasks, and finally click Export.

  10. Step through the Certificate Export Wizard to export the wizard to a .cer file.

    1. Select "Do not export the private key”.

    2. Select the default “DER encoded binary X.509 (.cer)”
