Attribute Description

RequestType

RequestType can have two values:

  1. "Registration". The message is a request for certificate registration.

  2. "Confirmation". The message is a request for confirmation.

TimeStamp

The creation time of the cryptographic element. Currently this element is not used by Configuration Manager 2007.

SMSID

The client's SMSID. If another client is already using the same SMSID, then another SMSID is issued. You should not make any assumptions over this value until the message is confirmed.

In most cases, you will not need to generate your own GUID and Configuration Manager will generate it for you. In this case, SMSID should equal "".

If you want to provide your own GUID it should be in this format:

"GUID:0EAD457A-7EE3-4E90-B8BF-6144266E6823".
