For these checks, the Best Practices Analyzer tool for Team Foundation Server checks the configuration of the servers that you specified in the scan. An error appears if a required service for SQL Server is not installed. For Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Foundation Server, a warning appears if an optional service for SQL Server is not installed or is installed on a remote server.
You must resolve this error condition before you install Team Foundation Server. The following table indicates the errors that might appear and on which server you must install the service.

To resolve this issue, you must install the missing service on the appropriate computer for your deployment.
Required Permissions
To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators security group on the server where you are installing the service.
