From textmgr.idl:
HRESULT IVsCompletionSet::Dismiss();
This method is called by the view when the completion set is no longer needed. If you want to force a dismissal of a completion set for a language service, then call M:Microsoft.VisualStudio.TextManager.Interop.IVsTextView.UpdateCompletionStatus(Microsoft.VisualStudio.TextManager.Interop.IVsCompletionSet,System.UInt32) with the pCompSet parameter set equal to nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic). If you already have a completion set cached for your view, call Dismiss to release the completion set. This method also removes the user interface along with the completion list and any tips.
