Home Page (Graphics Editor)How Do I ... Topics

The Graphics editor has an extensive set of tools for drawing images, as well as features to support the creation of toolbar bitmaps. In addition to creating and editing images in bitmap format, you can edit images in GIF or JPEG format. You can also convert images in GIF or JPEG format to bitmap format.

With the Graphics editor, you can:

  • Use the image editor window and docking toolbars

  • Customize and adjust the Graphics editor workspace

  • Edit a graphic resource and draw new graphics

  • Customize colors, change palettes, and select colors

Note   Many of the Graphics editor’s functions require a mouse or other pointing device. For keyboard shortcuts or accelerators, choose Keyboard from the Help menu.

Tip   While using the Graphics editor, in many instances, you can click the right mouse button to display a shortcut menu of frequently used commands. The commands available depend on what the pointer is pointing to.

For information about common resource edit procedures such as creating new resources, opening existing resources, and deleting resources, see Resource Editors How Do I ... Topics.
