Opening Dump Files in Platform Builder (Windows CE 5.0)

Opening a dump file or error report uses the same options as opening any other file.

To open a crash dump file in Platform Builder

  1. From the Platform Builder IDE, choose File, and then choose Open.

  2. Navigate to the <CrashDumpName>.kdmp file you want to open.

  3. From the Target menu, choose Attach.

    The Platform Builder kernel debugger attaches to the file, and enables appropriate options for you to use.
