Windows XP Embedded includes the Error Reporting component. This component enables you to receive critical application error messages from your target system. To be sure that your target system addresses and sends the error messages to the right recipient, you need to edit the configuration settings for your component in the configuration UI in Target Designer.

To configure the settings for the Error Reporting component

  1. In Target Designer, add the Error Reporting component to your configuration. For more information, see Adding a Component to a Configuration in Windows XP Embedded Studio Help.

  2. In the configuration editor, expand the main component node, and then choose Settings.

  3. In the details pane, on the Error Reporting Settings tab, specify the settings in the following table.
