Process Viewer (Remote Tool) (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The Process Viewer remote tool displays information associated with each process running on a target device.

You can use the Process Viewer remote tool from Windows Embedded CE, or from the Windows Start menu.

To use Process Viewer from Windows Embedded CE, you must first connect to the target device. For more information about how to connect a remote tool to a target device, see Remote Tool Connectivity.

The following table shows the panes of the Process Viewer window.

Pane Description

Process pane

Top pane of the Process Viewer window that displays information for each process running on a target device.

Thread pane

Center pane of the Process Viewer window that displays information for each thread corresponding to the selected process in the process pane.

Module pane

Bottom pane of the Process Viewer window that displays information for each module corresponding to the selected process in the process pane.

Selections made in the process pane determine the content of the thread pane and the module pane.

When you select a process in the process pane, the thread pane displays the threads corresponding to that process and the module pane displays the program elements corresponding to that process.
