Editing the XML Structure of a Catalog File (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

After you have created a Catalog file, you can choose to edit it in the Catalog Editor using either the graphical view or the XML format view. For information about using the graphical view, see Using the Catalog Editor to Edit an Existing Catalog File.

For information about creating a Catalog file, see Using the Catalog Editor to Create a Catalog File.

To edit the XML structure of a Catalog file

  1. In the Catalog Editor, open the Catalog file that you want to edit.

    For more information, see Using the Catalog Editor to Open an Existing Catalog File.

  2. Choose Source to change the view to XML format.

  3. Make your changes. For more information on the XML elements that you can add or modify, see Catalog Item Properties.

  4. To validate the changes that you have made, choose Catalog Editor to change the view. Then, from the Catalog Editor toolbar, choose Validate.

  5. To save the changes that you have made, from the File menu, choose Save.
