waveOutPause (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This function pauses playback on a specified waveform output device. The current playback position is saved. Use waveOutRestart to resume playback from the current playback position.

Syntax

MMRESULT waveOutPause(
  HWAVEOUT hwo 
);

Parameters

  • hwo
    Handle to the waveform-audio output device.

Return Value

One of the values described in the following table is returned.

Value Description

MMSYSERR_NOERROR

Success.

MMSYSERR_INVALHANDLE

Specified device handle is invalid.

MMSYSERR_NODRIVER

No device driver is present.

MMSYSERR_NOMEM

Unable to allocate or lock memory.

MMSYSERR_NOTSUPPORTED

Function is not supported.

Remarks

Calling this function when the output is already paused has no effect, and the function returns zero.
