IMemInputPin::GetAllocatorRequirements (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This optional method is used to suggest specific alignment or prefix requirements to an upstream filter.

Syntax

HRESULT GetAllocatorRequirements(
  ALLOCATOR_PROPERTIES* pProps
);

Parameters

  • pProps
    [in] ALLOCATOR_PROPERTIES structure containing the required size, count, and alignment of the allocator.

Return Value

Returns an HRESULT value. Returns E_NOTIMPL if not implemented.

Remarks

Source filters that insist on their own allocator may use this method downstream to accommodate downstream filters' memory requirements for performance benefits.

Requirements

Windows Embedded CE Windows CE 2.12 and later
Note Microsoft DirectShow applications and DirectShow filters have different include file and Library requirements
