The following table shows the Credential Manager structures with a description of the purpose of each.

Programming element	Description
CRED	This structure is used by the Credential Manager API to read credentials from, and write credentials to, the registry. This structure replaces the deprecated CECREDENTIAL structure.
CECREDENTIAL	This structure is used by the Credential Manager API to read credentials from, and write credentials to, the registry. This structure is deprecated, use the CRED structure instead.
