IUPnPEventSource::Advise (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This method is invoked by the device host to set up an association to receive events from the hosted service. The device host passes in a pointer to its IUnknown interface, prompting the hosted service to query for the IUPnPEventSink interface.

Syntax

HRESULT Advise(
  IUnknown* punkSubscriber
);

Parameters

  • punkSubscriber
    [in] Pointer to the device host's IUnknown interface that the hosted service will query for the IUPnPEventSink interface.

Return Value

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK. Otherwise, the method returns one of the COM error codes that are defined in Winerror.h.
